I had an introduction written to try and prep you for the thoughts running around my head, but decided against it. Jose Saramago & his quotes from his Tale of the Unknown Island have a lot to do with it. I'm going to jump around a lot.
Take it however you wish.
Dreaming.
You can follow it, make it yours; sometimes you find it, most times it changes, but you can be sure it'll follow you regardless.
Run to it. Walk along side it. Sleep through it.
..sleep is a skilled magician, it changes the proportions of things, the distances between them, it separates people and they're lying next to each other, brings them together and they can barely see one another.
(un)conscious fears and hopes. they scare us, surprise us, anger us, encourage.
life is full of surprises. It keeps hope alive.
The doors you open, the people you meet, and the decisions you make all change the original intentions. The dream molds with the wisdom you gain and the perspective you earn through the tough stuff. It bends to the limitations you and society may put on yourself; often that breaks it. Whether you finally reach the place, with the result you imagined or not,
you always reach somewhere.
hope.. faith.. fate?
Predestined, Possible? internal? within without you.
.. indeed, this is the way fate usually treats us, it's there right behind us, it has already reached out a hand to touch us on the shoulder while we're still muttering to ourselves, It's all over, that's it, who cares anyhow.
I think we use "fate" as a cop out at times. Or if we don't have a better explanation, the easy thing to say is 'oh leave it up to fate'. But really?
The encounters in our lives shape our fate. People become friends who guide us. Or ones who love us in different ways than ever before. Some people open our eyes and our hearts that help us appreciate the eternal love from God. Or maybe there was a relationship that wasn't too pleasant, but all the same we trek along down the winding road.
fate could be the shadow of ourselves.. depending on the time(of day/in life), it can be before behind or beside us.
We may not find what we were looking for down our path.. to our fate.
we might just find something better.
