The first week of class has been officially completed. 5 hours of Italian total; please just call me bilingual. I ordered gelato in Italian last night, but then the lady asked me if I wanted it to go in Italian and I didn't understand so my facade was put to an end. But it was definitely flattering!
Noon yesterday marked the beginning of our weekend! Left class then headed to Paperback Exchange to buy the 9 books for my lit class (we all know how much reading will actually be done) and 2 for my ethics. Shelley, both Lindsays, and I headed to the market afterwards where we got to bargain just for fun. Ha, Lindsey even got an Italian man to woo her with something so romantic as "Don't you wish your boyfriend was hot like me?". Love Italy.
Last night a couple of us went to this music bar called Be.Bop where every Tuesday is a Beatles cover band, every Thursday Oasis, and all other nights are local indie rock bands. The Oasis boys weren't half bad. They played all the usual stuff but threw in Clapton every once in a while. I fully appreciated the change from the discoteques that play "I Will Survive" three times an hour. This place was super low key and literally underground. I know where I'll be week nights. (after homework of course, Mom)
I've developed a new love for green tea. It's always been good, but since it is so stinkin cold all the time it's even better. I'm sippin it now while sitting on my bed with Shelley, slowly waking up and getting ready for boot and grocery shopping.
Interesting fact.. the keyboards here are way different & freaked me out a little at first (I guess it makes sense though).
Weather.. Rain. Surprise. but don't you worry the sun is supposed to come Monday.
Song of the moment.. Whistle for the Choir.
Great picture, you budding photographer! I will be praying that you do not get what your roommate has! Keep warm and eat some gelato for me.
