Thanks Momma

Today was the first day we didn't have any sort of orientation, so we took complete advantage of it: sleeping in until 1:30 pm. It was also the coldest day since we've been here I'm sure. And the most crowded.  We've yet to experience a weekend here so maybe that's when all the people come out to play.

Took a much needed trip to IKEA to get all the necessity stuff that didn't fit in our suitcases.  First time in that store too; glorious. We made the 3 o'clock bus on the other side of the city after leaving our apartment at 2:40..good to know we can make it that far that fast if need be!

Had a potluck with our upstairs neighbors again tonight.  So much good food it was ridiculous.

I don't really have a whole lot of exciting stuff about day, I just mostly wanted to put up some more pictures.
Oh best part of today perhaps: first hot shower in 3 days.  Took full advantage of it.

Family and friends, I love you more than you know and probably miss you more than I'm missed but that is 100% okay.  I just found a letter from my mom tucked in my bible in my suitcase.. i love you momma, thanks for everything.

Tomorrow is SuperBowl so we're searching the markets for hamburger meat and french fries to grill up while we watch the Cardinals and Steelers play at midnight Sunday/Monday our time.
It also might SNOW tomorrow! It wouldn't surprise me, the air is so cold & crisp it hurts.

Favorite song of the moment: Hello, I love you.

  2. That was a GOD thing! When I tried to "shove" that little card somewhere in your suitcase, and I mean I had to try 3 spots, it finally tucked in and low and behold, it fit in your Bible,,, no way! God is Good! Love you more than you know, I count on my hands 9 like 100x a day to think like what time it is there, what you're doing, etc. Love you Mom
